Root, stem, flower, leaf! In this hands-on science lesson, your students will create their own plants to help them identify and remember the parts of a plant.
Draw a picture of a plant on the board. Be sure to include roots, a stem, a flower, and leaves in your drawing.
Ask your students to tell you what you've just drawn. Once someone answers plant, ask your students whether or not anyone can tell you the different parts of a plant.
Allow your students to make suggestions for the labels.
