Short Vowels

When reading aloud together, ask your child what the vowel sound is in words with a consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) pattern. This is an important skill for early reading.
It is important for students to learn how to identify the vowels sounds in CVC words. Make sure to review short vowels and their sounds daily. Make it fun through songs and chants!
